About Oregon State EECS

The mission of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University is to provide a comprehensive, state-of-the-art education that prepares our students to be successful in engineering practice and advanced studies.

The School has a traditionally strong undergraduate program and one of the largest graduate programs within the university, with internationally recognized research programs in the areas of Mixed Signal Integration, Computer Graphics and Vision, Energy Systems, Information Security, Intelligent Information Systems, Learning and Adaptive Systems, Materials and Devices, and End Users Shaping Effective Software.

Undergraduate Programs

  • ABET/EAC accredited programs leading to B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, B.S. in Computer Engineering, B.S in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and B.S. in Computer Science.
  • Revolutionary educational programs that use platforms for learning.
  • Competitive professional programs.
  • Year-long senior design course with industry participation.
  • MECOP internship program (places selected students in local industry for two six-month internships).
  • Approximately 1150 enrolled students.

Graduate Programs

  • Strong graduate programs leading to M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.
  • Approximately 250 enrolled students; 140 M.S. students and 110 Ph.D. students.
