The Fall Quarter class time is: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 - 9:50. Unless otherwise specified, all of our classes will be held in Owen room 102.

1 Sept 29 Introductions. Discussion of class objectives and how we will go about it.
First look at the list of projects.
2 Oct 1 Discussion of potential projects. Come to class having read the list of potential projects

Both the Alias and Myers-Briggs assignments are due tonight. (See the Announcements.)

3 Oct 6 Photo Day! Everyone needs to come by sometime in the first 40 minutes of class time to get your photo taken for my (private) roster. Don't all come in at the end!

Other than that, today is an optional class for those who are still unsure of what projects to bid on. Come by and talk about it.

And, remember that bidding is due at 23:59:59 tonight!

4 Oct 8 Projects and teams announced.
Come up with a cool team name.
Contact your "client" right away and start working on the Client Requirements Document which is due November 6.

Your class's Myers-Briggs results (will be interesting!).

Here is a fun "software engineering" article I ran across. It is called Dirty Coding tricks, and is about people's worst software hacks. You will find it amusing.

Using Microsoft Project for Project Management

You are not required to use any specific project management software in this class, but you can get Microsoft Project Professional 2007 for free by signing up for the MSDN Academic Alliance. To do that, go to the teach system,: http://engr.oregonstate.edu/teach. Under External Links, click MSDNAA Site Login. This will allow you to download Project, and a bunch of other packages, for free.
