The five students who make up Team Medivac are dedicated to making life easier for the more than 100 million people in the U.S. who live with diabetes. Medivac's invention, a portable and durable cooler for medications — like insulin — that need a stable temperature to be effective. Noah Hoffman, Brian MacInnes, and William Christy met in an entrepreneurship class where the concept of Medivac came to be. Dankook University president reflects on career
Ho-sung Chang (MS EE 1985, PhD ECE 1993) stepped down from his position as president of Dankook University. Chang lead DKU’s reinvention as its president since 2008. He merged similar disciplines together and created 17 departments. Some of the new departments are mobile systems engineering, counseling and Middle Eastern studies. This is to make DKU specialize in certain fields and differentiate it from other universities. Korea JoongAng Daily

Each year, AccessComputing, a National Science Foundation funded project, funds students who have joined AccessComputing to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing or the Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing. The OSU Energy Efficiency Center is hiring Sophomore, Junior, and Senior engineering students (all disciplines) with excellent technical aptitude; and a proven ability to apply themselves, learn new technologies, work independently, and complete assignments in a timely manner. Center analysts tour regional facilities, collect data and prepare engineering recommendations for industrial and other clients to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste generation, and increase profitability. This position offers the successful applicant a great opportunity for quality experience and professional development. Applicants must be able to work with the center at least one school year and two summers.

Student Project Assistant (De Amicis)
The student in this position will be expected to work a total of 80 hours during the month of July. The hired student will assist the professor in the development of tutorial (blueprints scripting) for creating immersive games using UNREAL ENGINE 4. The tutorials will cover the following topics: creating effects using particle systems, development for mobile devices, use the Unreal Motion Graphics UI, VR locomotion, use behavior trees and AI Perception to create a simple AI character in UE4.

ECE internship - Power Development Solutions
Power Development Solutions, LLC, or simply PDS, in Hillsboro, OR is looking for a summer intern. We are looking for an intern who would be up to the task of developing new sensors and perhaps integrating them into a distributed network of zigbee satellite modules. The sensors themselves use interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-232, SDI-12 and One- Wire. We are looking at using a simple processor platform similar to the Arduino for remote zigbee interfacing.

CS Quality Assurance Internship - DAT
The QA summer intern should be in the midst of pursuing a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering to help with automating testing. (recent graduates are also welcome to apply). Depending on the level of knowledge and experience, this person will learn either the current Cucumber/Ruby automation framework or the Load and Performance Test Framework that uses JMeter and runs within AWS.
