Schools
 

Corvallis School District 509J has nine elementary, two middle schools, and two high schools. The Corvallis School District is recognized as one of the top school districts in the Pacific Northwest. Philomath School District 17J has two elementary, one junior high school, and one senior high school. The Greater Albany Public Schools include 15 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and two high schools. There are six private schools in Benton County.

Linn-Benton Community College, a two year public college, is 10 miles from the OSU campus, easily accessible by a regular shuttle bus service. A number of LBCC courses and programs are offered in Corvallis at the Benton Center.

   
Child Care
 

OSU Beaver Beginnings is located at 11th & Adams, is a full-day NAEYC Accredited childcare center for children of students, staff and faculty. There are 148 full-time spaces for infants through preschool, plus a private Kindergarten. Further information may be obtained by calling the Center (737-4641) or at http://www.cclc.com/osu.

The OSU Child Development Center is a student training and research center located in Bates Hall. Pre-school programs are provided for children from the OSU and Corvallis community.
