First Annual EECS & ME Industry-Student ReceptionStory Posted: Wed, Jan 25, 2006 The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Oregon State are pleased to announce the first annual EECS & ME Industry-Student Reception. The Reception will take place on February 21, 5:30–7:30 PM, in the new Kelley Engineering Center on the Oregon State campus. All companies interested in networking with electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, materials science, and/or mechanical engineering students are invited to attend. Held the evening before the Engineering Career Fair, the reception serves as a targeted opportunity for organizations interested in raising their visibility with ME and EECS students. This event provides industry representatives an opportunity to identify future candidates who would be a good fit with their organization. Likewise, the event benefits students, encouraging them to network with industry and find out more about life beyond graduation. The reception, collaboratively hosted by four student professional societies (ACM, ASME, IEEE, and Pi Tau Sigma), is free-of-charge for both industry and Oregon State students. The event features time for industry and students to connect, followed by breakouts allowing companies and students to meet in smaller groups. Join us February 21 and strengthen your connections with the OSU engineering community. To register for this event and/or request additional information, please contact: Tracy Ann Robinson, ME Corporate Relations, 541.757.8954, tracy.ann.robinson@oregonstate.edu, OR Tina Batten, EECS Corporate Relations, 541.737.8613, tina.batten@oregonstate.edu Advance registration is required.
