OSU Honors Standout Engineering Faculty, Staff, Students

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Engineering at Oregon State University recently recognized and honored its most exemplary faculty, staff and students for their work during the past year during an awards ceremony at the college’s annual Engineering Breakfast.

“Building an outstanding engineering program here at Oregon State requires having exceptional people working together as part of the same team,” said Ron Adams, dean of engineering at OSU. “I’m very proud of these individuals and the expertise and innovation they bring to our growing program.”

Awardees include:

  • Monica Kempsell in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: The Burgess/Tektronix Award
  • Matt Knudson in the School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering: The Graduate Teaching Assistant Award
  • Charles Parker in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: The Graduate Research Assistant Award
  • Lea Clayton in the School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering: The Classified Employee Award
  • Kathy Westberg in the School of Civil and Construction Engineering: The Professional Faculty Award
  • Annette von Jouanne in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: The Alumni Professor Award
  • Un-Ku Moon in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: The Research Award
  • Christine Kelly in the School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering: The Austin Paul Award
  • Thinh Nguyen in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: The Engelbrecht Young Faculty Award
  • John Wager in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science: The Research Collaboration Award
  • Nancy Squires in the School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering: The Loyd Carter Award
