This past September, the College of Engineering (COE) honored two ECE personnel their annual awards breakfast. In recognition of his "outstanding and sustained research leadership," Dr. Cetin Koc received the COE Research Award. Koc is director and founder of ECE's Information Security Lab which researches and develops ways to keep electronic commerce and information secure.

Development Engineer Manfred Dittrich was also recognized with the Outstanding Classified Employee Award for his "outstanding job performance and scientific achievement." Dittrich runs the Engineering Shop and does everything from helping design rugged bases for the TekBotsTM to developing mechanical systems.

We are proud of both Koc and Dittrich's achievements and are honored to have them on the ECE team!
