Annual EECS-MIME recruiting event draws hundredsStory Posted: Mon, Mar 23, 2009
On Feb. 18, nearly 250 students, faculty and industry representatives filled the Kelley Engineering Center Atrium for the EECS-MIME Industry Reception. The annual event creates a space for students and faculty to mingle and network with members of industry, forge connections, and find out about jobs and internships. Twenty-one companies attended the reception.
Larry Gonzales, Senior Recruiting Consultant in the Visual Computing Group at Intel hailed the event a success. "I think that OSU stands out in their efforts to provide students a forum to engage with companies in a more intimate setting in addition to the typical job fair."
This year marked the ninth anniversary for the Industry Reception. Through the years the networking event has help introduce and inform over 250 industry members and hundreds of EECS and MIME students.
