The 2012 national average for a software engineer's base salary is $92,648 based on more than 5,000 salary reports, Glassdoor said. That's up 2.5% from 2011. Two of the 15 tech companies on the list came in under that average: Intel ($92,194) and IBM ($89,390). Los Angeles Times

AAHD Scholarship Program supports students with disabilities pursuing higher education. Pathways Peer Tutor/Study Hall Monitor, INTO Oregon State University. Peer Tutors will function as academic tutor and American culture ambassador. INTO-Oregon State University’s undergraduate Pathways Program is the first year of undergraduate study for international students who wish to pursue an academic degree at OSU. In general, your duties as a Study Hall Monitor is to monitor the study hall room by ensuring noise levels are kept to a minimum and monitoring the entrance and exit during a study hall session. Peer Tutors will be assisting international Pathways students in English skills (i.e. reading, writing, listening and speaking) as well as General skills (i.e. math, science, engineering, others) based on the tutors skills. INTO OSU in the International Living Learning Center (ILLC) is currently looking to hire new tutors who are ECE majors. They need individuals with strong writing skills who are also confident in in their ability to help students with their ECE courses. Please see the attached job posting for job responsibilities if you’re interested. Here are the job qualifications: must be a Native English speaker; GPA of 3.00 or higher; completed Writing 121 with an A grade; completed first year core classes and have a sophomore standing preferred; completed at least 3 or more of the following courses with a B+ or higher: MTH 111, 241 and 245, ANTH 210, ECON 201 and 202, BA 101, COMM 111 and HHS 231. Computing Helpdesk Consultant, OSU College of Forestry. The College of Forestry Computing Resources group is hiring a student consultant to provide technical support to Forestry computer users at the Forestry Computing Helpdesk located in Peavy Hall. The major duties of this position include providing telephone, electronic and in-person support to computer users; assisting users with software questions; installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware at a component level; maintenance of computer laboratories. ANR Group Inc has contracts with the Department of Energy - Richland Operations Office (DOE), Mission Support Alliance (MSA), Washington Closure Hanford (WCH), and Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) to recruit students for their summer intern programs on the Department of Energy site (Hanford site) in Richland, WA. These intern programs allow students to obtain real world experience in their field of study and each intern is assigned a mentor that works with the student during the entire internship. Systems Integration Manager, INTO Oregon State University. The System Integrations Manager is responsible for managing the integration of OSU academic systems to meet the needs of INTO OSU. The Systems Integration Manager is required to pro-actively manage and take ownership of assigned systems issues and development projects involving the student information system and related systems. This position will interface with INTO OSU employees to understand systems issues, document change requests and gather technical requirements; at the same time the position will also interface with OSU technical teams to manage the delivery of change requests and represent INTO OSU's technical voice in university technical discussions. This position will be actively involved in developing and maintaining systems and reports to support both senior management and academic support staff activities.
