OPPORTUNITIES

Are you considering graduate study in the mathematical sciences? The 2007 Summer Math Institute at Cornell University provides an opportunity to explore the world of mathematics, and helps prepare students for the rigors of graduate school. Participants spend approximately seven weeks at Cornell's scenic Ithaca, NY campus taking an advanced undergraduate course in Real Analysis. Students will also work on projects centered on algebra and cryptography. Students will learn basic subject matter and prepare outreach materials for area high schools and middle schools. Details.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship and Fellowship Programs provide an opportunity for students to participate in an educational program intended to ensure a diverse and highly talented science and technology human resource base to meet the mission, goals, and objectives of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The National Academies Resident Research Associateship Programs provide postdoctoral and senior scientists and engineers with opportunities to conduct research on projects, largely of their own choice, which are compatible with the research interests of the sponsoring laboratories, thereby contributing to the overall research efforts of the federal government. University of Michigan, Cooperative Institute for Limnology and Ecosystems Research (CILER), Great Lakes Summer Student Fellowships. All fellows will be guest students of the University of Michigan. R & R Labs LLC. We are looking for a number of part time or internship positions in areas of electrical engineering. We are seeking assistance in design of four modules for one of our systems.
