Washington State University Summer Doctoral Fellows Program Invitation. Washington State University invites applications from and nominations for doctoral candidates who are nearing completion of their graduate degrees and preparing for careers in higher education to attend a six week Summer Doctoral Fellows Program (June 18 to July 27). The purpose of the program is to provide selected doctoral students with the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors at Washington State University in preparing for academic careers as future faculty members. Spinning out 5 years of research from Oregon State University, we use advanced analysis and compiler techniques to aid non-programmers in finding errors in spreadsheets. Details.

Exciting summer mathematics research program for undergraduates at Kansas State University. The NSF sponsored program "Brainstorming and Barnstorming" will run over the summer June 4 - July 27, 2007 and will include a problem solving component, an applied math component on the mathematics of flight, and a pure math component. Some flight instruction will be included! Undergraduates who are US citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply. Facilities Engineering Intern, Micron. As an intern in the Facilities you will assist Electrical and Control Engineers for the Facilities Department. Duties will include electrical and control design, drawing development in AutoCAD, as-building systems, and specifying components. This position focuses more on the industrial support systems within Micron. The project may change during the course of the internship. General knowledge of power, instrument and control systems. Experience with AutoCAD or similar drawing package is a plus. Details.

The Department of Design and Human Environment is seeking an individual who is proficient in autocad and is available for the following hours. Monday: 11:00 am - 12:50; Wednesday: 11:00 - 12:50; Friday: 9:00 - 12:50. Starting salary is $7:80 per hour. Position is located in Milam Hall. Oregon State University Libraries, Library Technology Support, Student Employee Job. Production and maintenance of interactive PHP web based applications. Production of internal documentation (source comments, manuals, etc). Write SQL statements to input and retrieve data from SQL data sources. Co architect web based applications. Silicon Laboratories, Inc., Associate Design Engineer. Design support for analog/digital circuits, including layout, test, verification, evaluation and debugging of prototype ICs, and design support for mass production. Details.

This is a planned and progressive education program that offers valuable work experience directly related to a student’s academic field of study.
