Plan to attend the second annual Women in Aviation Careers Conference on Saturday April 14, 2007 at the Flight Technology Center at the Eugene Airport! This free three-part conference will focus on women in aviation and the future of the space industry. Guests include former WASPS, 99’s, and Rosie the Riveters as well as women involved in contemporary aviation. ECE alumnus Adriaan Smit and PhD student Robert Batten have created the WavyWand, a high tech toy that uses light to create fun images. The toy was featured on HGTV's special presentation on the 2006 New York City Toy Fair and was named novelty toy of the year by Creative Child magazine. KGW-TV video report. OSU news release.
