2007 High Tech After Hours. The 5th Annual High Tech After Hours will be held on Oct 11th from 2:00 until 8:00pm at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center located on the OSU campus across from Reser Stadium. High Tech After Hours is a business-to-business expo and is the largest gathering of the technology community in the entire Mid Willamette Valley. Come and discover the newest technologies being developed locally. Many of these companies are looking to hire. Students get in free with ID and a ticket (available in the EECS office, Kelley 1148. SCHOLARSHIPS/FELLOWSHIPS

L'Oreal USA announces its intent to expand the company's commitment to the for Women in Science program, by offering further support to women in pursuit of scientific careers, through the creation of a U.S.-based Fellowship. Applicants must be women post doctoral researchers with Ph.D.s only (MDs are not eligible); be American born, naturalized citizens or permanent residents; affiliated with a U.S. based academic or research institution; conduct their post-doctoral studies and research in the U.S.; and be involved in the life, physical/material sciences, engineering and technology, and computer science or mathematics. The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities at NASA Centers, headquarters, and other facilities to highly talented national and international individuals who have completed their doctorate degree. Applicants must have completed their doctorate degree or equivalent before beginning the fellowship. Eligible disciplines include: engineering; physical sciences; life, health, and medical sciences; earth, environmental, and marine sciences; computer science; and mathematics. A Postdoctoral Fellow has held the doctoral degree for less than five years at the time of application. Details

The Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) offers hands-on exposure to Air Force research challenges through 8-12 week research residencies at participating Air Force Research Facilities. SFFP participants may choose to perform their research at Air Force facilities around the United States, but only in those research areas and with those approved advisors listed on the SFFP website. The Office of Naval Research Summer Faculty Research Program provides an opportunity for science and engineering faculty members to participate in research of mutual interest to the faculty and professional peers at Navy laboratories. The Summer Faculty Research Program is a 10-week program. Details
