OSU Libraries Undergraduate Student Research Awards sponsored by the Library Advisory Council. The Undergraduate Student Research Awards will recognize and reward OSU students who, through the comprehensive use of the OSU Libraries, demonstrated outstanding research, scholarship and originality in writing a paper of completing a project. There will be two awards given; $1000 to an upper division student and $1000 to a lower division student at Oregon State. To be eligible, students must have written their papers, or completed their research projects as part of their course work at OSU during the 2007 calendar year. OSU faculty are encouraged to nominate students whose papers or projects that reflect outstanding information literacy skills through the extensive and sophisticated use of the library services, resources and collections. Higher Education Research Experiences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) for Students provides opportunities for students to participate in a broad range of science and engineering activities related to basic sciences, energy, and the environment. Details

The Office of Biological and Environmental Research (OBER) Global Change Education Program provides research opportunities in areas related to global change. The Global Change Education Program encompasses the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) and the Graduate Research Environmental Fellowship (GREF) program. Details

The Savannah River Site Professional Internship Program provides opportunities for students to participate in energy-related and environmental research. Interns receive a weekly stipend and limited travel reimbursement. The internship is for 3 to 24 consecutive months with full- or part-time appointments. The Institute of Microelectronics of Seville (IMSE) of the Spanish Research Council (CNM‐CSIC) and the University of Seville offer a competitive PhD Fellowship in Microelectronic Circuit Design Our research focus lies in the design of high‐performance analog, mixed‐signal and RF integrated circuits for many different applications spanning from instrumentation, sensor interfaces to wireline and wireless telecom. Particularly the research topic to be covered by the PhD candidate is closely related to the activities carried out within the following research project: Adaptive RF and Mixed-Signal Integrated Systems for 4G Wireless Telecom. Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs available at the College of Engineering at Boston University. REU programs are intensive, ten-week programs of instruction and laboratory research, beginning in early June and concluding in mid-August.
