SWE presents the Third Annual Engineering Ball on Saturday, February 16, 7-11 pm in the Kelley Atrium. This year's theme is a Masquerade! Come masked, costumed, or playfully painted! (Modest masks will be available for purchase at the door.) The Engineering Ball is a semiformal social event for students, staff, faculty, and professionals, along with their friends and family, to socialize, dance, talk, listen to live music (performed by some of OSU's own talented engineering student bands), and enjoy one another's company! Why: Engineers need to hone their socializing skills and have a rollicking good time! Tickets are $10 each or $15 for two people, available in the MU ticket office. At the door, add $3. Dance Lessons 7-8 pm. --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Don't forget to check out the AfterCollege job site, tailored especially for our EECS students. Companies that will be interviewing at the Career Center during Winter Term. Some have deadlines for applications and others it states that students will need to attend the Career Fair on 2/19 or 2/20 and speak with a representative about a possible interview. A number of the companies are also holding informational sessions in the evenings, if a student is either on the company interview schedule or wanting more information about the company, I recommend attendance. For companies that students apply on-line through Beaver Recruiting System, they would go to www.oregonstate.edu/career/. Students do have accounts established as they would use their FULL ONID account for username and first 4 digits of their birth month and day. The Career Services had at one time an account with Benny Beaver, but have retired him and only students can create accounts. Only 1 in 10 students from low-income communities will graduate from college--and you have the power to change this. TEACHFORAMERICA Information Session.
