American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) General Motors Engineering Scholarship are awarded to members of AISES who are American Indian/Alaskan Native undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in engineering. GM gives preference to electrical, industrial or mechanical engineering majors. Awards are $3,000/academic year. Details

New in 2008, the AISES Google Scholarship will fund scholarships awards to American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian AISES members pursuing degrees in the computer science, computer engineering and management information systems. AISES and Google support the advancement of American Indian and Alaska Native students working towards obtaining a degree in the fields computer science and technology so they can obtain the necessary skills to compete in today's global society. Academic Coach, Regular and Work-Study, Academic Success Center, OSU. The Academic Success Center supports and enhances OSU's learning environment to promote student persistence and success. This student employee position provides one-on-one academic coaching for students who wish to work on issues affecting their academic success. Academic Coaches often participate in doing presentations for classes and living groups and may assist with special projects at the Academic Success Center. Training and orientation prepare students for this peer support position. Details

Learning Strategist, Regular and Work Study, Academic Success Center. The Academic Success Center (ASC) and Academics for Student Athletes (ASA) need to fill Learning Strategist positions for the remainder of the 2007-2008 academic year. Learning Strategists provide intensive academic coaching for at-risk students. The scope of the position includes providing assistance with time management and organization, reading and note taking, and any other strategies that contribute to student success. Learning Strategists work intensively with one or two students, two to four times per week. They assist students in applying learning strategies directly to their reading and assignments. Mandatory training and orientation prepare students for this peer support position. Details
