Printed oxide electronics at Oregon State University. Oregon State University has had a comprehensive program developing printed oxide electronics and electro-optics for some years. Printed Electronics World

Nanotech lab will be at HP a while. Oregon State University will expand the microtechnology and nanoscience research it is doing on Hewlett-Packard’s Corvallis campus, where the company is donating use of an 80,000-square-foot building to the university for 20 years. Corvallis Gazette-Times

The College of Engineering needs your help! Sign up to volunteer at the Engineering Expo, a college-wide showcase event that's attended by hundreds of visitors. The event, which will be on Friday, May 9 at the Kelley Engineering Center, features over 100 senior projects, a Robo*Palooza, and green energy projects. A part-time student developer position is available to create software for maizegametophyte.org, the website to support and distribute data for a newly-funded Plant Genome Project, sponsored by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). The developer *must* have experience creating a dynamic database-driven web site. Specifically, applicants should have experience with most of the following: HTML markup, Javascript, Perl, SQL (preferably MySQL), CSS, CGI and CVS. Computing Resource Center is seeking a Student Support Technician 1. The Level 1 Student Support Technician’s primary task is to provide Tier 1 hand’s on end-user support to the College of Business students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include: Responding to phone, email, and in-person requests for technical help; Documenting support requests; Resetting COB account passwords; Troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware and software problems, working directly with vendors and customers, as necessary; Following designated escalation procedures for high level issues.
