SCHOLARSHIPS/FELLOWSHIPS

The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad for up to one academic year. The program aims to diversify the kinds of student who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go. The program serves students who have been under-represented in study abroad which includes but is not limited to: students with high financial need, community college students, students in under-represented fields such as the sciences and engineering, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, students attending minority-serving institutions, and students with disabilities. National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering & Science, Inc. (GEM), GEM MS Engineering Fellowship Program. The objective of this program is to promote the benefits of a masters degree within industry. GEM Fellows are provided practical engineering summer work experiences through an employer sponsor and a portable academic year fellowship of tuition, fees, and a stipend which may be used at any participating GEM Member University where the GEM Fellow is admitted. National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering & Science, Inc. (GEM), GEM PhD Science Fellowship Program. This goal of this program is to increase the number of minority students who pursue doctoral degrees in the natural Sciences -- chemistry, physics, earth sciences, mathematics, biological sciences, and computer science. Microsoft is excited to be offering scholarships for the 2009–2010 academic year. Entry Level Software Tester / QA Tech. Junior .Net Web Developer. Seeking a Junior .NET Developer. The chosen candidate will be a key player of a development team tasked with developing, enhancing, and supporting complex .NET applications, using ASP.NET (C#) that will be seen and used by C-level executives of the Fortune 1000.

Jr. Software Developer. This Software Engineer carries out all small feature and sustaining software development processes to include software design, implementation, debugging, unit testing, and sustaining. The primary focus of this position is to develop quality software that is released in our Viewer tools and Web based applications installed in our Production Environment.

Professional Services Functional/Technical Consultant. Work closely with project and account management to develop a clear definition of requirements and function required by the client. Design, implement, and/or configure customer-specific requirements and functions in the context of Click Research and Healthcare Extranet application suite. Interact and work closely with Customer Services to deliver follow-on consultancy and services as required, provide technical help/consulting on customer support calls and to help ensure customer satisfaction. Interact and work closely with Product Development Team.

Programmer I. Modify and create customer reports and billing statements. Minor to moderate defect resolution with the guidance of more senior programmers and analyst. Possess understanding of basic business process. Perform minor application enhancements with assistance from senior programmers and analyst. Ability to work from specifications. Document work product to department standards. Mentor employees on job duties. Ability to multitask and manage several separate projects concurrently. Willing to seek advice when appropriate. Estimate time to completion on units of programming work.

Senior .Net Web Developer. Seeking a Senior .NET Developer who has the experience to hit the ground running in providing development and leadership a major internal project. This work will be seen and used by C-level executives of the Fortune 1000. The chosen candidate will be a key player of a development team tasked with developing, enhancing, and supporting complex .NET applications, using ASP.NET (C#).

Software Installation Developer. Currently looking for associate to mid-level candidates with a BS degree in a field directly related to software development plus one to seven years of relevant technical experience in application design and programming. The Software Installation Developer is responsible for designing, coding, documenting, and testing software installations for our SQL/.NET application within the Viewpoint Construction Software division.

For those of you graduating soon, or who have just graduated. There is a full time Analyst Programmer position open with UHDS here on campus.
