ANNOUNCEMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
With tongue firmly in cheek:
Now that the ART has returned to the exterior of Kelley, we should consider how to use the sculpture to create graphics images to represent our School. In furtherance of this idea, professor Paul Cull recently held Paper Clip Art CONTEST.
The winner was: Hand-of-God by Gibby Reynolds.
An Honorable mention was awarded to Ryan Yoder for paper-clip-360.
We hope that these example suggest to you some nice ARTY touches for your next presentation.
Fuzzy Walrus Naming Contest
Fuzzy Walrus is getting close to launch time, and we need to come up with a "final" name for the device. The Fuzzy Walrus is a student developed ultra-mobile Linux computer that CS freshmen & undergrads will be using as part of the new CS Platform for Learning (for more info see: http://beaversource.oregonstate.edu/projects/cspfl).
Given that we're short on ideas, we're turning to you for help and inspiration. Help us name the Fuzzy Walrus, have your name immortalized, and be the first to get a free Fuzzy Walrus of your own + other fabulous prizes!!!
We will accept entries for a final name until 12/01/08 (next Monday) and we want everyone to give us their input (maximum 3 entries per person)! Add your ideas to this wiki: http://beaversource.oregonstate.edu/projects/cspfl/wiki/CSPFL_Name
