Expanding Our Energy Portfolio

Teach For America seeks to enlist our nation’s future leaders in the fight against educational inequality. We ask college graduates of all academic majors to teach for two years in a low-income community. During that time they are full-paid teachers who ensure that their students have access to the highest quality education. If you think you have what it takes to tackle the civil rights issue of our generation, then we encourage you to apply. Our next application deadline is January 7, 2009. The application is simple and straightforward – two 500-word essays and a resume. Get started at https://www.teachforamerica.org/online/info/index.jsp. Feel free to contact Matea Bozja at matea.bozja@teachforamerica.org for more information.

Students who will be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs for the 2009-10 school year are eligible to apply for the multiyear scholarships. The scholarship program's selection criteria include academic excellence, leadership skills, community involvement, and financial need. On average, a Point Scholarship devotes between $26,000 and $31,000 annually to each scholar.
