Holocaust Memorial Week 2009 is scheduled for April 20-23. This marks the twenty-third consecutive year that we will be observing Memorial Week at OSU. As always, the Holocaust Memorial Committee has attempted to provide a program that will be meaningful across the breadth of our campus community. Film – Sophie Scholl: The Final Days
On April 24 (Friday) and May 2 (Saturday), the Beatles' eponymous double album, also known as the "White Album," will be recreated live in concert. Both shows start at 7:00pm and will be held at the Milam Auditorium. EECS students Bill Cowell, Simon Ghionea, and Neville Mehta are involved in this project alongside 15 other musicians.
All proceeds go toward the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV). This is the 4th year running for such an event; with your support, previous shows have brought in about $20,000 for CARDV.

The Student Alumni Association is now recruiting for its Board of Directors positions! We have two types of positions available:
SAA Board of Directors 2009-2010. We are now recruiting for the 2009-2010 Student Alumni Association Board of Directors! SAA leaders uphold OSU traditions, network with alumni, plan campus events, and run the SAA membership program. In exchange for this 3-5 hour per week commitment, students receive a $1000 scholarship for the academic year. Applications are available online at www.osualum.com/council.
We also have the SAA Recruitment Chair position available immediately. This position oversees the marketing and management of our membership program, providing great hands on experience in leadership, public relations, and promotion. This position is a paid student staff position that serves on the SAA Board of Directors as well as holds additional office hours at the Alumni Association. Digital Vagabonding.com is offering a “Roads Scholarship” to enable a talented writer/photographer to road trip North America this summer and share their journey on Digital Vagabonding.com.

Student Internship at West Virginia University. A position is available for a student with programming skills to help develop and extend a simulation model that is being used to explore the factors controlling movement and establishment of transgenic trees in natural and managed settings. Microsystems Engineering Inc., Software Engineering - Automated equipment report tool. We need an engineering student with demonstrated software skills to write a C sharp application. This application will regularly parse log files in order to extract the information needed to generate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics and store it in a database.
