10th Engineering Expo to Showcase Student Inventions
You might run into a swarm of tiny robots, see a 3-D version of the future of television, examine a human-powered vehicle that can negotiate land, mud or water, or see how a SWAT team could use a new reconnaissance robot. Regardless of what interests you – the unusual, functional, or creative – you’ll find plenty to see on Friday, May 15, at the popular 10th annual Engineering Expo at Oregon State University. Abhi Talwalkar (B.S. '85, ECE), President & CEO, LSI Corporation
Back when Portlander Abhi Talwalkar was looking for a university, students didn’t have the Internet to search the world for a school, and they generally stayed close to home. Today, Talwalkar has expanded the dreams of high school graduates by helping to make the search for a college easier. “I chose Oregon State because it had a strong engineering school,” says Talwalkar. “I had done well in math and science, and the United States was hiring lots of engineers at the time.” College of Business (p14)

JONATHAN JAY "J.J." CADIZ (B.S. '97, Computer Science), Principal Program Manager, Microsoft Corp.
