TeachEngineering Web Metrics Analysis Position (summer 2009). Statistically analyze the patterns of the Web server logs of www.teachengineering.org. TeachEngineering is a digital library and website of 800+ K-12 science and math learning objects; i.e., lessons and hands-on exercises. The project has been funded to conduct an analysis of its website access and usage logs. Questions to be answered are the following. How many users does TeachEngineering have? What percentage of these users are repeat visitors and how often do they return to the site? How are requests distributed over various pages and what sets of pages are requested ‘together’? What are the probabilities that users visit page X after visiting page Y? Can we show that users access the collection from K-12 sites and K-12 host machines? Do K-12 math and science teachers access the site? Do K-12 teachers have a different usage pattern than non-teachers? Details
