Multiple Faculty Positions in Computer Science

As part of an expansive search, the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University invites applications for several full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty positions to begin in Fall 2019. Candidates with a strong research record in the following areas of Computer Science will be considered: Programming Languages, Databases, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence.

Appointment is anticipated at the Assistant Professor rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants must hold a doctorate degree in computer science or closely related field by the start of employment. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment and capacity to initiate new funded research as well as to expand, complement, and collaborate with existing research programs in the OSU College of Engineering and beyond. As part of the position, applicants have to regularly perform graduate and undergraduate teaching duties, including developing new courses related to their research expertise.

The College of Engineering invites applications for one full-time (1.00 FTE), tenure-track, 9-month Assistant (preferred), Associate, or Full professor position in the Robotics Program. The successful candidate is expected to initiate new funded research as well as expand, complement, and collaborate with existing research programs in the School, the Collaborative Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CoRIS) Institute, the College of Engineering and beyond.

The successful candidates will have office and laboratory space physically located with the existing Robotics group, will have an administrative home most appropriate to their area of expertise within the College of Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), and be a member of the CoRIS Institute.
