Biography
Dr. Simone Stumpf joined Oregon State University in 2005 from University College London (UCL), where she had been working on designing knowledge management systems for retail security personnel and evaluating the usability of biometric systems. She received a B.Sc. degree from UCL in 1996 and a Ph.D. from UCL in 2001. Simone's research centers on human computer interaction for intelligent systems.

She currently works on TaskTracer (http://eecs.oregonstate.edu/TaskTracer/), a new task-oriented intelligent system that tracks a user's interactions with all applications, organizes the user's information naturally according to tasks, and intelligently leverages the collected data to make desktop applications more task-aware.
