Inventing the Future

The Applied Magnetics Research Program at OSU was initiated in 2004. Currently, Dr. Jander and Dr. Dhagat are spearheading the effort to establish a top-notch, well equipped laboratory for the fabrication and characterization of magnetic materials and devices. The ongoing research encompasses novel magnetic sensors for medical, space and security applications, semiconductor spintronics and magnetic surface acoustic wave devices.

The Applied Magnetics Group enjoys strong collaboration with partners in ONAMI (Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute), and businesses including Umpqua Research Company (Roseburg, OR) and NVE Corporation (Eden Prairie, MN).
