Biography
Bella Bose received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Madras University, Madras, India in 1973, the M.E. degree in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in 1975, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and engineering from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, in 1979 and 1980, respectively.

Since 1980, he has been with the Department of Computer Science, Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon, where he is a Professor. In 1996 he was awarded the College of Engineering Research Award for Outstanding and Sustained Research Leadership. His current research interests include error control codes, fault-tolerant computing, parallel processing, and computer networks.

Bose is a Fellow of both ACM and IEEE.
