Biography
Luca Lucchese received the D. Ing. degree and the Ph.D. degree both in electrical engineering, from the University of Padua, Italy in 1993 and 1997, respectively. From 1997-2002, he was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of California, Santa Barbara, first as a postdoctoral researcher and then as a visiting assistant professor.

In March 2002, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oregon State University, Corvallis, as an assistant professor. He teaches courses in digital signal processing and image processing. His research interests include digital signal and image processing, computer vision, and three-dimensional imaging. Lucchese is a member of the Signal Processing Society, and associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, and a member of the IEEE.
