EECS Student Services Office

The EECS Student Services office focuses on academic planning and assistance, career guidance, program and graduation requirements, professional program admission, graduation verification, and general support for undergraduate students in the Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science (CS) programs.

Information about the ECE and CS programs can be found in the online ECE and CS Advising Guides.

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Incoming OSU Students
Students starting at OSU in the summer or fall must attend a summer orientation session known as START. PINs for fall term registration will be issued at the START session.

Current OSU Students
Non-EECS students currently enrolled at OSU wishing to switch into the School of EECS should come to the EECS Student Services Office (KEC 1148) between the hours of 8:00am - noon, Monday - Friday, to officially change majors. Students will be assigned to an advisor after a review of their academic file has been completed by the School of EECS. If admitted into the School of EECS, students must complete the Online Orientation for New and Transfer EECS Students before meeting with their assigned advisor.

CS 381
This course will not be offered Fall 2009. Students who plan on graduating before spring 2010 AND who still need to complete CS 381 should take it this summer.

All ECE students who do not complete their Science, Technology, and Society Synthesis requirement prior to fall 2009 must take CS 391 to complete this requirement.

This course will be offered spring 2009 and will substitute for ENGR 390. Students planning to take ENGR 390 in spring 2009 should take ENGR 299 ST/Engineering Managment instead.
