Biography

Maher Elshakankiri holds a B.Sc., M.S., and Ph.D. in computer engineering. He worked as a faculty member at a couple of universities in different countries for more than 15 years. He joined Oregon State University as an instructor in 2019.

Elshakankiri’s main research interests include the Internet of things, wireless sensor networks, mobile ad hoc networks, and cybersecurity. He has more than 25 published journal and conference papers. In 2015, Elshakankiri published a book titled “Introduction to Wireless Sensor Networks.” He is a reviewer at several journals and a TPC member of several conferences.
