Rick Presley obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering in 2001, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering in 2006, both from Oregon State University. His research focused on the then nascent technology of amorphous oxide xemiconductors, which are becoming an important class of materials for display applications. Rick fabricated the first transparent integrated circuit and is coauthor of Transparent Electronics (Springer Publishing).

Rick currently works as a faculty research assistant for the Materials Synthesis and Characterization Facility (MaSC) at Oregon State University. His main job responsibilities include student training, project consulting, industry collaboration, and supporting MaSC equipment.
