For those of you who graduated from Oregon State with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, you have undoubtedly noticed our merger, creating the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
The merger of the two departments into one strong school created a critical mass in several research areas. The school’s research and educational programs gives us significantly higher visibility both internally and externally. And because Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering have many overlapping fields, several faculty interests lie between the two departments.
In addition, the School is housed in the Kelley Engineering Center, our home since 2005.
And even as we move forward, we greatly value the past and the solid foundation that we continue to build upon. We welcome your involvement in EECS and the College of Engineering.
