The OSU Hackathon Club is excited to announce our upcoming Summer Hackathon! It's a fantastic time to build an awesome project, network, and gain skills to collaborate in a team. We will have winners in the following categories: C++ Console App, People's Choice, and 1st/2nd/3rd Place (Judge's Choice). We also encourage new students from 161/162 to join and apply what they've learned to a new project while concepts are still fresh in their minds. We have plenty of suggestions just for you! Note: You do NOT have to be available the entire weekend to participate, just coordinate with your team. Also, if you are looking for teammates, let us know on the registration form and our officers will match you with a group. Resources & mentoring for students with disabilities in computing fields
Each year, AccessComputing, a National Science Foundation funded project, funds students who have joined AccessComputing to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing or the Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing. Students interested in receiving funding to attend one of these conferences should join before 6/30/2019. Check out their most recent newsletter to learn more about our work to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in computing education and careers.

ECE internship - Power Development Solutions
Power Development Solutions, LLC, or simply PDS, in Hillsboro, OR is looking for a summer intern. We are looking for an intern who would be up to the task of developing new sensors and perhaps integrating them into a distributed network of zigbee satellite modules. The sensors themselves use interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-232, SDI-12 and One- Wire. We are looking at using a simple processor platform similar to the Arduino for remote zigbee interfacing.

CS Quality Assurance Internship - DAT
The QA summer intern should be in the midst of pursuing a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering to help with automating testing. (recent graduates are also welcome to apply). Depending on the level of knowledge and experience, this person will learn either the current Cucumber/Ruby automation framework or the Load and Performance Test Framework that uses JMeter and runs within AWS.
