Windows Printing Instructions

[HOME]

• Windows XP Professional or Home
• Attached to the EECS network or OSU_Access wireless network
• Have an OSU EECS computing account

• Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes
• click: Add a Printer
• Next
• select: A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer
• select: Connect to this printer (middle box)
• name: \\aurora.eecs.oregonstate.edu\printername [1]
• Next
• if asked, agree to driver downloads
• if asked for username/password, use:
  username: EECS\username
  password: (your EECS Windows password) [2]
  
• printer will now appear in your list of printers

• [1] - printername refers to the particular printer your are printing to. list of available printers can be found here.
• [2] - this is the password you would use to log in to a Windows computer on the EECS network.
