CS 340: Justin Wolford

Upon entering this class, we expect all students to (red text = math expectations):

  • Know how to code and host a server side web application that can interface with a MySQL Database, using packages/languages such as PHP, Node.js, C#, or Python.
  • Have an understanding of how arrays and random access work
  • Have an understanding of time complexity to find items in a sorted and unsorted list. (This is sometimes referred to as Big-O notation.)
  • Be familiar with the Linux command line including commands: ls, mv, cp, mkdir, cd, pwd, rm, echo, g++, ps, kill, ssh, and diversion to a file
  • Have the ability to learn how to use a GUI-based interface to interact with a database without directly teaching the use of the GUI.
